Pizza Party.
I've been back for almost a week now! Time seems so go by faster back here in Malaysia. Hmmm. I keep saying I'll be back til September but I find it harder to coordinate my time here now than back in December last year. I do this, it clashes with that, I do that, it clashes with this.. Gah!

OMG!!
Guess who'll be making guest appearances at Raymond Lam's debut solo concert in Hong Kong?
Breathe Easy.
I think I'm jet-lagged. But I'm not sure why. I haven't slept all night, and I'm not tired yet.

Guess Who's Back?
Everything looks, feels, sounds and smells the same but it sure is awesome to be back home. I had the best sleep ever last night. No more squeaky beds for me! :D

Glee!
Just when I thought it was going to be ever so quiet, I stumble upon Glee, a new series showing this summer. While it looks like it's just hopping on the musical bandwagon, it wasn't all that bad. A bit of stiff acting, cringe-worthy lines and cliched storylines but I'll just chalk those up to it being new and all. What can I say? I'm a sucker for anything remotely musical-related. As for the talent, well, they're probably not stark pop stars a la HSM but glee club is not Disney, it's show choir.
Check out the 2 performances from the 1st episode:
The cast of Glee doing an awesome rendition of my all-time favourite song. The studio version is on repeat on my RealPlayer now.
I love this! Haha. I always liked the song, but done in synchronized choir show style? Awesome!
Go check it out! :)

The Big 2-Oh!
I still remember this time last year you called me and asked if I wanted to go have dinner and I was like, "Huh, for what?" Haha. It was the American Idol finale week also ok so I was a bit distracted!
Unfortunately this year, while I am very clearly aware that it is your birthday, I can't celebrate it with you. I will when I get back though, I promise!
Till then, have a fantabulous crazy awesome birthday because it's your twenteenth and you deserve it! :) Luv ya besto!
p.s. check your email! :)

Fearless.

I have to admit I wasn't a fan of Taylor Swift before this. Partly because I thought her lyrics were pretty shallow (don't kill me all you die-hard Taylor Swift fans) and because she aired her dirty linen in public when she announced that Joe Jonas broke up with her on a 27-second phone call. I thought that was so.. attention-seeking. And I also had a thing for Joe Jonas then. I don't anymore! I like Nick Jonas now!
Besides, Joe Jonas is dating the very annoyingly hot Camilla Belle now. On a side note, I'm so glad she didn't have many hot-and-heavy scenes with Chris Evans in Push because well, Chris Evans is mine.

But wait! Camilla Belle is rumoured to be dating Robert Pattinson!

But I digress.
So anyway, after accidentally stumbling upon Love Story a few times on blogs and that "Love Story meets Viva La Vida" video, I decided what the heck, let's see what they hype is all about.
The verdict? I like her songs. It's been playing on loop for about 3 hours now and I haven't gotten sick of her yet. She has an easy-on-the-ears sort of voice, unlike Kate Voegele whose songs have better lyrics but has a hard-to-digest voice. As for her lyrics, it's basically all very boy meets girl but I don't think they're that shallow anymore. In fact, I like how it's all kinda of real. It's also very girly girl with frequent fairy tale references that I kinda like (I'm a bit of a closet fairy tale believer too).
She's also a bit of a sepet which means she's Chinese somewhere (deep down) inside. One up for her! Haha.
I haven't listened to her whole album which is why I don't know why her album sold so well. Then again, she isn't some teeny bopper and I hope she doesn't move towards that. As long as she keeps writing her own songs, I'm a fan. Singers that write their own songs appeal much much more to me because you sorta know it's truly them there in that song. Plus, it's pretty cool when you relate to the song because it means you're relating to the artist. How awesome would it be if you and Taylor Swift were kindred souls huh :P
And I'll leave with with some of my favourites,
Sleep Is Good.
I slept 12 hours of dead sleep last night! 12 hours! Dead sleep! And when I snoozed the alarm, I didn't have to feel bad because I didn't have some past year paper I had to do! Oh, it felt soooo good.
Waking up to good news marks the beginning of a good day. I checked my email first thing and found out that Raymond Lam will be having his debut solo concert in Hong Kong on the 17th and 18th of June.. AND I COULD BE GOING!! :D My aunty emailed me and if all thunderbirds a go go I will be there, in Hong Kong, watching him live!
OK, that aside. I read a good Gossip Girl Aftergasm today on BuddyTV. I love reading BuddyTV because it "prolongs" 40 minute episodes and because the writers are critical plus they crack me up with their sarcasm. This Aftergasm (lol I love this word) is about the season finale and where Gossip Girl can go from here. I also wonder how Gossip Girl is going to continue with everyone going their seperate ways. Then again, it is the Upper East Side clique. So I can rest assured that there will be a lot of brunches, teas and cocktails.
And it's official, the Gossip Girl spin-off "Valley Girls" is dead. Thank God for that because even the backdoor pilot fell flat. The only parts of that episode I enjoyed were the ones that.. were not flashbacked. Haha.

And The Curtain Falls.
Season finales and end of exams.. it's been quite the week of endings for me! With the exception of the OMGWTFBBQ (haha thanks Jeremy) Grey's season finale last week, of course, but I don't think I'll go into that anymore.
So I sat for my last paper today after getting a grand total of ONE hour of sleep. I swear I haven't had a good night's sleep in such a long time that I can't even recall what it's like. I got into bed around 2am and tossed and turned till 7am. And then I had to get up at 8am. Well, the big compensation of course is that it's finally the end of exams! I am mentally and physically exhausted from the past 3 weeks and I'm so glad it's over.
And what better way to celebrate than to go shopping! OK, honestly I was so not in the mood to go, but I felt obligated to because I haven't gone shopping in forever. So I dragged my feet along Oxford Street and managed to buy myself some summer wear. I feel kinda bad that I went shopping in such a horrible state of mind. I'm going to get a good night's rest tonight (fingers crossed) and go all out tomorrow!
The downer today were the season finales :( In a way, it's a good thing all my shows have ended because it would be impossible to watch them back home with slow internet. But after almost one year of following them religiously, it's a bit quiet now that the seasons have all ended. Not to mention 2 out of 4 of them have characters that may or may not be returning next season! :(
But in the mean time, I'm going to fill the void with lots and lots and lots of TVB dramas - time to catch up! Rosy Business, Shades of Truth, Phoenix Rising, Last One Standing.. and the list goes on.
Aaah it's good to be free again :D
Thoughts on GG, HIMYM & OTH season finales:
Lots of Love going around in all 3 finales :)
I Love You moment #1:
3 guesses which part had me smiling like an idiot :) Haha. I have to say, I still think them getting together will affect the dynamics of the show but come on, this is what I (and about 3 million other girls) have been waiting for since last season's finale! Chuck Bass finally admitting to Blair that he loves her and many times too! I'm ecstatic, although there's a sinking feeling that they won't make it to next season's finale. Ah well, I'll just be ecstatic for now and pray that there'll at least be 10 episodes of Chuck and Blair lovin' next season before anything happens. Haha.
Seriously the award for Idiot of the Episode goes to Serena. First she complains about being stalked by the papparazi and then she wants to take down Gossip Girl because she doesn't want to be irrelavant. Huh? And what the heck was she wearing to graduation? It so totally clashed with Constance's awesome emerald graduation outfits!
Speaking of taking down Gossip Girl, I kinda like it when the four of them get all Scooby Doo'd up and start investigating and all. Haha.
So what else happened? It was a prety good, conclusive finale. Chuck and Blair getting together, Lily and Rufus getting married, Jenny overthrowing the monarchy of high school, Nate and Vanessa going backpacking as friends "unless they drink too much".. and it also left much to be gossiped about next season - Scott the Lovechild (who is a spitting image of Rufus), Serena's Dad (I kinda forgot he existed, or had to exist lol), Carter Baizen ('nuff said) and of course, Georgina Sparks and Blair Waldorf as roommates (fun!)
I'm a bit thrown off by how the Poppy Lifton thing ended just like that. Hopefully it's explained in the 3rd season. Well, we'll just have to wait till the fall and see. xoxo!
I Love You moment #2:
The whole episode was pretty moving especially with the lingering knowledge that it's Lucas and Peyton's last episode. But I only cried this part because I'm a sucker for familial touching moments. It's a bit abrupt how Victoria became human but it's nice. At least she got Brooke to go to LA for..
I Love You moment #3:
OK, I'm not shocked it went down like that between Brooke and Julian since I found out Austin Nichols is going to be made a regular on the show but I was sooooo glad when she finally said it. They make such a hot couple! And this confirms it even more for happy little me that Austin Nichols is definitely here to stay! :D
I was holding my breath throughout this episode waiting for the shoe to drop. Or, well, Peyton to drop dead. Haha. I mean, I know they're leaving so I wanna be prepared this time and not get hit by a bus (pun intended) like I did with Grey's! So when Peyton survived the childbirth, and her baby was fine, and she woke up, and she was happy and then it ended I felt a bit cheated. Haha. There I was thinking that a truck would ram into the Comet again but instead it was all happy ending-y with the 3 of them driving off into the sunset. Wouldn't you feel cheated?! Although it's nice that no one died of course.
This finale felt a lot like a series finale instead of a season one. Nathan got into the NBA, Mouth and Millie back together in Tree Hill, Brooke and Julian, The Scotts all happy and alive.. it felt a lot like OTH was ending. Which, in a way, is on its way I'm guessing what with Lucas and Peyton not coming back. I wonder how they're gonna "leave" Tree Hill next season. BuddyTV thought up an interesting way to spin the series so that it doesn't die out but honestly, I kind of wish it has just ended like that. As sad as it would be to bid goodbye to Tree Hill, it'll be even sadder to drag it on. Ahhh well.
I Love You moment #4:

Not exactly the one I was hoping for but it was cute nonetheless. I thought Robin's "feelings" were a little out of the blue. Well, compared to Barney's pining which has been evident for like, the whole season. Haha. It would be weird to see Robin and Barney together somehow although they do seem perfect for each other. It'll be weird seeing Barney in a serious relationship!
I only remembered Ted had a pretty crappy year when he rounded it up and then leaped. It was very symbolic, the whole leaping thing. And looks like we're one step closer to finding out who's the Mother!
I have to add that Neil Patrick Harris is so very suave ;)
Well that's that. No more Tuesdays and Fridays for me till the fall. Sighhh..

7 Down, 1 To Go!
I wandered into Whiteley's the other day after my Maths paper and found this awesome shop that sells these awesome cupcakes. It's hard to find good dessert here because I'm not that much of a sweet tooth but this cupcake was just right. Therefore, I'm going to go get summore for myself this Tuesday as a "pat on the back" for finishing my exams!
3 more season finales next week (GG, OTH & HIMYM) but I seriously doubt any of them will match up to Grey's twists and turns and bloody annoying cliffhangers! But it'll be Lucas and Peyton's final appearance on OTH so maybe something twist-ish will happen. But it won't be as heart-and-gut-wrenching as Grey's!!
OK.
*
(picture to be inserted here when we FINALLY TAKE A NEW ONE BECAUSE REUSING LAST YEAR'S PICTURE BECAUSE I DO NOT HAVE ANY OTHER PICTURES TOGETHER IS JUST SAD) :D
I haven't spoken to you in forever I'm so lost and not-caught-up with all the drama in your life! You have to make time to update me when I go home ok! Have an awesome one babe. xo.
Nah, cupcake (icing) for you :)

It Might All Be Gone Tomorrow.
I just finished watching Grey's season finale and I am pysically exhausted and emotionally drained. Gotta hand it to the Grey's people - they sure know how to give us one heck of a finale. I still have freaking goosebumps!
Do NOT continue reading because it would spoil the show so badly for you and you'll hate me for it and I wouldn't want that :D
p.s. If anyone watched it feel free to go OMGWTF on my comments page. We can OMGWTF together about all the OMGWTF moments.
BIG thoughts on Grey's Anatomy Season 5 Finale:
You shoulda seen me while I was watching the finale tonight. I was screaming, crying, sobbing, slamming the table. Seriously, I know it's suppose to be a big finale what with Izzie's life hanging on the line and not knowing if George is going to stick around but what. a. FINALE. I mean, I knew it was going to be big but never in a million years would I have thought it was going to be THIS big.
It was actually scary how everything climaxed in the last 5 mins of the 2-hour season finale. I mean, we didn't get to see Izzie's major surgery and the wham! Big twist ending! I literally went OMFG when John Doe wrote "007" on her hand. I knew he was going to write something really big but this is way bigger than big. And then Meredith realises it's George and OMFGWTF!!!
And it was such an emotional episode with Meredith and Derek finally getting married in the most MerDer way possible. They both looked so happy, Meredith was almost bouncing off her seat. And Cristina saying "yes" to the very very attractive Owen. And Alex being such a justifiable jerk. Plus his emotional scenes are really well done, geez they sure know how to keep em till the last minute. And Bailey breaking down in front of the Chief, to which I broke down too because it was such a raw and amazing show of emotion. And whaddayaknow they had to throw in that last scene with Izzie in the elevator and George in his military uniform looking mighty fine with a new close-cropped hairstyle (he shoulda done that ages ago!) For a minute there I thought they were gonna do a montage of Izzie's career and life at Seattle Grace and I was THIS close to slamming my laptop shut. I can't take this anymore! But watching the lift door open and seeing George on the other side - crushed my soul to smithereens :(
George has been absent from Grey's for what feels like a long, long time yet in a few short episodes, the writers have made him so significant. So. He can't die! He can't leave! It's just too abrupt and unfair and just sad! And Izzie! OK, so her crashing was not as abrupt and freaky as George's but but but what about Alex? It just all seems so unfair!
Sigh, just when Seattle Grace was about to get a little more chirpy what with dark, twisty Meredith finally tying the knot and stone cold Cristina openly admitting her love for hot hot Owen. and Arizona being Arizona. Sighhhhhh.
WTF I still can't get over the scene where John Doe/George writes "007" on Meredith's hand and then grasps it like he's literally hanging on for dear life. WTF. I still have goosebumps! Berzerkers!
ABC is being suspiciously silent about whether or not Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight are really leaving (there's hasn't been any official announcement unlike The Murder Of OTH) so they may or may not die. And one of the recaps pointed out that Izzie was on the elevator while George was off so maybe that signifies something! Maybe no one's going to die! I mean, Meredith didn't die back in that episode! OK, fine, so the show IS called Grey's Anatomy but still!
But now everything's just.. hanging. Hanging and will be hanging for the next few months.
HOW DO THEY EXPECT ME TO WAIT FOR A FEW MONTHS BEFORE FINDING OUT WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN TO THEM?!

ZOMG!
OTH Big News!
Hilarie Burton and Chad Michael Murray are definitely leaving OTH according to Perez!
Thoughts (spoilers):
OMG this means Peyton is definitely going to die! And Lucas will leave Tree Hill! With or without their baby! Probably because he'll be so upset about Peyton dying. Which is pretty upsetting really, because after all they've been thru and they FINALLY get married, this happens. And I'm not exactly saying that in an awww way it's more like seriously, you put us thru all that crap and now you're just killing them off? Wtf.
OK maybe she won't die. Maybe they'll pull a Karen Roe and decide to travel the world together because jeng jeng jeng Peyton only has (insert scary small number here) days to live. Because it would be too cruel to kill her off and then get rid of Lucas. Rianne The fans won't be able to take it!
I seriously do not know what OTH will be like without Lucas and Peyton. Sure, they both have their fair share of being sickening, individually and as a couple, but OTH was built on Lucas Scott. I mean he's the main character! His joining the Ravens was the tipping point and that's what made everything happen for the past 6 seasons!
I wonder how OTH will even survive after killing them off. Apparently they'll be bringing in 2 new characters (please let it be Austin Nichols!) but but but. We all saw how The O.C. crashed and burned after Marissa died and she wasn't even the main character. If they'd killed Ryan there probably wouldn't even be a 4th season! Do you see my point!
Next week's season finale will be Lucas and Peyton's final appearance on OTH. And I foresee the end of OTH, which would be so sad but seriously, are they going to bump Naley up to be main characters? I love them and all but seriously?
And if Izzie dies this Thursday too.. GAH!
(edit) Oh yesh Austin Nichols is going to be promoted to a series regular! I feel slightly better now :D

Grey's 100th.
"You never know the biggest day of your life is going to be the biggest. The days you think are going to be big ones, they are never as big as you make them out to be in your head. It’s the regular days, the ones that start out normal. Those are the days that end up being the biggest.
You never know the biggest day of your life is your biggest day, not until it’s happening. You don’t recognize the biggest day of your life, not until you’re right in the middle of it. The day you commit to something or someone. The day you get your heart broken. The day you meet your soul mate. The day you realize there’s not enough time because you want to live forever. Those are the biggest days. The perfect days. You know, it was a beautiful day."

Of course, with all this happening, it's getting clearer and clearer that Katherine Heigl is indeed leaving Grey's. Or maybe it's already confirmed, I don't know. I've been avoiding/ignoring all reports on this because I don't want Izzie to go! The Not-So-Fab 5 won't be complete without her! :(

Weekly Dose.
Next week on GG..
Backdoor pilot for Valley Girls, which I'm still not convinced will do well. There is an evil that surrounds all spin-offs.
On a not-entirely-unrelated note, Chace Crawford has the bluest eyes..
Spoiler Alert! Gossip Girl 2x23 "The Wrath Of Con":
Argh I know they will never get together because it would kill the unsatisfied sexual tension which is their big selling point but arghhhh.
