Not Inclined To Resign To Maturity.

So I was at Trafalgar Square the other day, attempting to be a touristy with Yang Sik. We really tried ok, we went to the National Gallery and all. Spent a full 20 minutes in there. I should probably add that I mean no disrespect to the art lovers because the paintings were beautiful (some were so real they were kinda freaky) and that we went out because Yang Sik had to answer a call and the National Gallery prohibits handphone usage.

But we didn't go back in because our attention was drawn to this street performance:

He picked a girl from the audience and got her to lie there with those crates. She looked a bit ticked off after awhile, and kept getting up. But she was a pretty good sport, considering how long she was lying there waiting for the actual performance to start.

Street performers like to drag out their performances to add to the suspense and pique our curiosity even more so even though the trick isn't all that great, we're still in shock wonder awe. Pft humans are so easy to manipulate.

He then proceeds to get four guys from the audience to sit on the crates

and then lean back on each other's laps. Yes, the girl is still there. Under them.

The crates are then removed and Superman pulls the girl out from under the wreckage and saves the day!

..OK no, Superman's a loser who wears underwear on the outside. But he does pull the girl out (while complaining about how heavy she is)

.. and then throws puts her on the guys!

Now you see, the performance wasn't exactly elegant nor astonishing, but because he dragged it out so long everyone cheered and gave money. In his defense though, he was a good performer, always humble, funny and he seemed really passionate about what he does. He gave a little speech at the end about how street performing was his career and how amazing it is. I mean, he was decked in a Superman costume on the inside while wearing a suit on the outside at first. Geez that must have been way uncomfortable.

But it was just an ordinary trick, pft, anyone can do it. Yea, even us.

Oh, don't believe me? Well, here, I'll prove it:

The Girls..
.. and the Guys. (they took AGES btw. pft.)

Haha, okay I just wanted to show off that we had already done the trick before (these were taken in Melbourne last year). Minus the girl being thrown on us. But we didn't have crates to help us when we started out so it balances off! Haha. I got pretty excited once I realised what he was actually going to do. Some of us have done it twice actually, once in a park at night in Melbourne and once in an about-to-close Curve with the security guard giving us funny looks. Haha. All thanks to Kuan Lin.

Ahhh Melbourne, good times good times (:

Hey Mel, you know this time TWO (2) years ago I first came to visit you in Melbourne? Look at how time flies it's simply preposterous!

Yea don't mind the socks. Notice the shoes. I love those shoes.

After the performance, we sat on the steps at Trafalgar Square soaking up yet another day of rare awesome weather and talking about picking up chicks. I love Trafalgar Square. I think it's my favourite place in London although I've only really been there 3 times (4 if you count the time I thought I was there haha long story. actually it's not that long but oh well.)

Then again, London is my favourite place in London when the weather is brilliant :)
